Our People

Aloewoods is owned and operated by Bronwyn Howard and is assisted when required by Jock Tame.

Bronwyn Howard has over 10 years experience in the South African travel and conference industries, where she previously worked as marketing consultant to hotels, game lodges and conference venues in various parts of the country. She was also Marketing Manager for Fair Trade in Tourism, an NGO focusing on promoting fair trade in the tourism industry. She is a qualified, registered nature guide and was extensively involved in working with school groups doing environmental education at Lapalala Wilderness in the Waterberg and the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens in Johannesburg. She also works part-time as a freelance travel journalist and has written for most South African publications, as well as twice being involved in updating the New York-based Fodor's Guide to Southern Africa.

She has always had an excellent reputation for professionalism and service excellence.

When Aloewoods was launched, Jock Tame acted as business adviser for the new company and provided marketing and photographic services. He is a professional photographer and provides extensive photographic assistance both to Aloewoods and our clients. He has photographed events for clients and also takes photographs of venues and facilities countrywide, to enable Aloewoods to distribute these to clients when requested.

Jock Tame is extensively involved in the golf course industry, both in South Africa and internationally. Through his involvement in several international golf tournaments (including the Alfred Dunhill Golf Tournament), he has had extensive experience in the management of large events and functions. Jock was also voted the top greenkeeper in South Africa for three consecutive years.
